Banfield Active Care for a Adult Cat

Banfield Active Care (adult cat): the price is the small print. The contract is the story.

The Active Care plan for a adult cat is a 12-month service contract with your Banfield clinic. Published quote: $37.95 a month, $455 a year. Adult cat tier quote published by Insurify, October 2026. Your clinic's price may differ — prices vary by region. What decides your money is not the tier name — it is the settlement formula Banfield states in its own complaint responses: if you cancel early, you owe the lesser of the retail value of services and discounts already received minus your payments, or the payments left to the end of the term.

What this tier costs over the year

Published quote: $37.95 a month, $455 a year. Adult cat tier quote published by Insurify, October 2026. Your clinic's price may differ — prices vary by region. Banfield's plans overall start at $26.95 a month and average about $52 a month across tiers (Banfield's own site, October 2026). The monthly price on your own bill is the one the checker uses — type that one in, not a table price.

What cancelling this tier costs

The same lesser-of formula applies at every tier: retail value of services and discounts used so far, minus what you have paid — capped at the payments remaining to the end of the 12 months. If you enrolled within the last few business days, read the window first: Banfield's own wording applies the true-up only when a plan is cancelled four or more business days after its effective date.

Renewal is a separate switch

Monthly-paid plans can be set to auto-renew for another 12 months; the renewal is turned off in your MyBanfield account, and cancelling the plan itself runs through the Wellness Plan team at 888-649-2716. A prepaid year does not auto-renew.

The line this site never crosses: What care your pet gets is a decision for you and your veterinarian. These pages are only about the contract and the money.

Your numbers, not a generic answer

Every figure in this niche depends on your enrollment date, your payments, and the retail value of what your pet has used. The free checker computes your three options from those numbers alone.
